Ministry Coaching: providing tools for achieving professional & personal goals and reaching the “next step.” Ministry leaders often lack the time, objectivity and opportunity to sharpen their own skills, overcome their own personal and professional obstacles, and reach the next level of excellence. Ministry coaching provides the opportunity to address areas in which you would like to excel, or are holding you back. Such issues may include time management, relational skills, preaching and teaching, organizational challenges, financial management, development (fundraising), understanding and strengthening leadership dynamics, among others.
Confidential Pastoral Care to Leaders and their Families: ministering healing and encouragement to those feeling the “storm & stress” of ministering to others. Leaders and their families are often stretched to their limits, and neglect their own needs. We offer a safe harbor of friendship and care.
Personal and Marriage Counseling: helping shape a Godly response to personal and family challenges. Everyone experiences personal issues that are hard to overcome. Even the best marriages face challenging and rocky seasons. Ignoring our problems invariably compounds them. We provide Biblical, Christ-centered counseling to help you address issues and to develop marital and familial intimacy.
Church Consultations: developing deeper, Christ-like relationships and understanding with pastoral staff and church members. Churches often face some degree of internal conflict among its members and staff. We believe that God is sovereign and uses iron to sharpen iron, and conflicts to develop Christ-like character. Whether it is strong personalities, weak leadership or disunity, we offer the opportunity to bring people together, solidify relationships and to develop character and ultimately glorify God.
Legal Consultations: providing experienced legal advice. Whether it is the legalities of operating a 501(C(3) corporation, creating sexual abuse protection policies, examining lay counseling policies, or providing advice on what churches can and cannot do vis a vis addressing current social and cultural issues, and political campaigns our attorney referrals can help you chart your way through these complex issues.
Mentoring: connecting ministry leaders with experienced pastors. Many ministry leaders benefit from having a mentor. Experienced ministry leaders serve younger mentees who learn from their wisdom and experience. We can help connect mentors and mentees through our mentoring program.
Leadership Development & Discipleship: facilitating one on one and small group discipleship for pastors and church officers and staff. Many pastors spend the majority of study time preparing to minister to others while neglecting their own devotional life. Many have no practical relational accountability. Often, pastors have little time to disciple their own staff and officers. We can help facilitate fellowship, discipleship, relational accountability and leadership development through one on one or small group meetings.
Seminars: equipping ministry leaders for the “work of service.” ServingLeaders Ministries periodically offers training seminars to ministry leaders that will address timely topics designed to serve you in your ministry.
Retreats: providing spiritual refreshment and renewal. We can lead spiritually challenging and refreshing retreats on an as needed basis. In addition to hosting such retreats we have a network of retreat opportunities in a variety of beautiful settings including central Pennsylvania, the Jersey Shore, New Hampshire, Virginia and Wisconsin that offer free or very affordable retreats pastors and their wives (and families space permitting).
