Conflict is one of the top sources of discouragement and burnout for pastors and ministry leaders. We live in a culture where conflict is ubiquitous. Some in our society have modeled an “us-vs-them” mode of interaction that has normalized ad hominem argument and an inability to listen to those with whom we disagree. Many don’t know how to have a respectful conversation.
You have probably noticed that this inability to deal with conflict in a healthy, mature manner has invaded many of our churches. How can we build emotionally healthy relationships and navigate conflict well amid this unacceptable, ungodly polarization? What are some tools we can use to help disciple people?
You are invited to join us for a Ministry Leader Gathering on Cultivating Relational Depth and Navigating Conflict in Today's Ministry Context with Dave Wiedis, J.D., M.S.C.C. and Tucker Else, J.D., MDiv.
In this interactive and collaborative gathering, we will:
process the state of our own relationships and the relational realities that challenge our ministries and leadership teams;
address some of the key elements and pitfalls of developing deep relationships in the context of ministry leadership, while navigating inevitable conflict in a godly, Christ honoring way;
walk away with tools to cultivate a transformative gospel culture and navigate disagreement and conflict in a way that bears fruit in us and our teams.
